The James Shannon Memorial Prize for Excellence in Research using Mass Spectrometry has been awarded to Oscar for 2024! Congratulations! This competitive award goes to the student who has published the most outstanding piece of research at UNSW using mass spectrometry in the last 12 months. The namesake of the award, Jim Shannon is an important historical figure in Australian mass spectrometry research, and we are very proud of Oscar for winning this prize. More about the contributions of Jim Shannon can be found here (we love fishhook arrows!).
